What is the process of getting Six Month Smiles?
After completing a consultation with our orthodontist, they’ll take X-rays, intraoral and facial photographs, and impressions of your teeth to create models which are created in a lab. If you are indeed eligible for the Six Month Smile treatment, we will use the models to calculate the movements needed to straighten your teeth.
You will need to return for a second appointment to have your brackets bonded, they are bonded using a hardening light, followed by threading the arch wire through each bracket.
Six Months Smiles VS other options
Each of these orthodontic treatments provide patients with a clear and discreet way of straightening their smile. The key difference between the two is of course that the Six Month Smiles braces are affixed to your teeth by your orthodontist. The Invisalign braces system is comprised of removable trays that will need to be switched out on a regular schedule.
The Invisalign system works very well to straighten teeth. However, it can take quite a bit longer to achieve the results that you are looking for, over if you were to get the Six Month Smiles braces system.
What are the advantages to Six Month Smiles?
While other orthodontic options carry their own benefits, being able to achieve your results in as little as four months can be a big factor for the person making decisions. Many of our patients need quick treatment for a particular event, such as a wedding.
A definite advantage to this system is that it can be a more affordable option over many of the other types of orthodontic systems that we can provide for our patients.
